Modelling of Infectious Diseases Masterclass workshop

James Cook University are hosting a interactive 5 day masterclass, Modelling of Infectious Diseases in Cairns from 10 to 14 July 2023. The masterclass is aimed at providing participants with an understanding of infectious disease modelling and some basic programming skills. What distinguishes this workshop from other modelling courses is that we use R, a freely available language and environment for statistical computing and graphics. This masterclass workshop delivers basic practical skills in developing and coding mathematical models to understand transmission dynamics of infectious disease such as COVID-19. Additionally, this will establish a foundation for further research or facilitate critical appraisal of mathematical modelling.
